I'm Pam Meyer. I've been your
president for the last four years
and would like to continue for one
more term. I've been involved
with the museum since before
taking office and would like to
continue overseeing the expansion
that is now going on in our new
"home".
As most of you know, the façade fell off the building we originally opened in and we were forced to find another "home". I helped oversee and helped with the packing and moving then setting up the museum where we are located now. We are now working on the expansion where we are putting together cases and getting them ready for new exhibits. I would like to continue overseeing this project. 2020 found us with the never before experienced "Pandemic". I've helped with the setting up of the protocol for reopening and running the museum in this new age.
I've managed to see that the museum got its share of the Travel and Tourism Grant that is issued every year to non-profits in Wellington. In 2020 I wrote a grant to receive $10,000.00 to help us out with expenses while we were closed for the "Pandemic". I'm working on find volunteers to help set up a Travel and Tourism project to bring bus tours to our museum. I'm working on finding a volunteer to work with the schools in and around the museum to bring in school children for field trips. I am looking for a volunteer to work on Grants for the museum, and several other projects. I would be pleased to have your vote as president to help me continue with my work.
