Bryce Brothers was founded in 1893 near Mount Pleasant, PA, as a manufacturer of stemware and tumblers, initially "needle etched", but eventually cut, engraved, sand blasted and applied color decorations found their way into the line. Bryce became known for the quality of their glassware, and operated for nearly 70 years before being acquired by Lenox in 1965. Lenox produced crystal that became known for fine design and craftsmanship, and the Bryce Brothers reputation for fine blown glassware fit right into Lenox's plans. Lenox continues operations today.
