1986 Convention - Springfield, Missouri
The thirteenth Annual NDGA Convention was held in Springfield,
Missouri, at the University Plaza Hotel on July 12-13, 1986. Show
Chairman was John Scott, and co-Chairman was Gene Loveland from the Heart
of America Glass Collectors. The Annual Meeting of the NDGA was held on
Friday night, July 11, and it was followed by a "Get Acquainted
Party".
Seminars and Speakers
There were four seminars presented at Springfield. The speakers and their topics were:
- Jo Cunningham - Autumn Leaf and American Dinnerware
- Mark Schliesmann - A-W Depression and Imperial Candlewick & Cape Cod
- Bill Smith - Cambridge Mold Acquisitions
- Dick Spencer - Heisey
Glass and Pottery Displays
There were eleven displays, coordinated by Gene and Marilyn Loveland. If anyone has color photographs from this event and would be willing to share them, please contact the Webmaster@NDGA.net.
