Betty Buersmeyer

My husband and I have collected glass for over forty-five years. We were dealers for thirty years, and participated in the NDGA show and sale for nine years. I was privileged to serve as NDGA Director At Large for six years and as secretary for the past six.

As Director I worked as the chairman of the Education Committee. We provided information for the NDGA museum volunteers by developing plans for guides and assembled a reference book with information about glass companies and patterns. We also answered email questions about glass and identified glass pieces for members. I also served as Nominating Chair for two years.

I believe the mission for NDGA is to continue to preserve our glass and educate people about our glass heritage. We can insure this by continuing to expand the museum. Progress is a result of strong leadership. It is a privilege to serve as secretary of the NDGA, and I would like to continue to do so.
