Pam Dunkel

I am 61 years old. I was bitten by the antique and glass collecting bug when I was about 12 years old. My parents used to take me to auctions with them and I had very fond memories of the hot peanut machine. My parents would be attending the auction and I would get a cup of hot peanuts.

I was always surrounded by collectibles and antiques. I have a degree in Graphics and Commercial Art. Which drove me to my interest in Art History which lead to interest in glass company's and glass collecting. I meet my husband Ron and he joined in my interest. Before we were even married we joined the Michigan Depression Glass Club. We were the youngest members at that time. I became the table setting chairman for the club meetings and dove full force in helping at the annual show and wherever I could help. Then like everyone else I was bite by the glass bug collecting more and more. We decided to be sellers also. We started doing glass and collectible shows. We also sold in Depression Glass Daze paper and had booths in antique malls. We do numerous annual glass shows we think of it as a hobby my husband and I love glass. We have a nice collection of Duncan Miller Glass Co. everything from swans, milk glass, table settings etching pieces etc. We also have DG patterns I collect and non glass collections.

Well enough about me I would like to be able to help contribute to the NDGA.
