Donavan Schmidt

My interest in Depression & Elegant glass began in the late 1980's when I re-finished an old china cupboard and then wondered what I should place into it. I remembered the pink glassware my mother had and researched to find out it was the American Sweetheart Pattern. This started my journey into first being a collector and then transitioning into being a dealer of all types of glassware.

I believe in NDGA and its mission of preserving and promoting interest in glassware of the Depression Era and have served two terms as Director at Large. To that end I wish to continue as a director on the NDGA board.

Along with my wife, Deloris, I am owner/operator of DonDel Antiques. Presently I am serving as Historian for NDGA. I am also a volunteer for the National Glass Museum in Wellington, Kansas, and enjoy interacting with visitors there.

If I am re-elected to serve as Director for NDGA, I pledge to do the best I can in promoting our organization for the next two years of my service.
